Tribute

Agnes Mary Marchetti (formerly Bagley) was born in Foxboro Massachusetts. She had many adventures growing up with her five older brothers and two sisters. When not in school they spent their days ice skating, skiing and swimming.

Agnes graduated Emmanuel College with a Bachelor’s Degree, and went on to complete her Masters of Education at Boston University.  She had both a love and talent for music and attended the New England Conservatory of Music where she continued to study the piano. She was also a member of the National Defense Program, a way for women on the home front to contribute to the American victory in World War II.

In Boston, Agnes worked for the State at the office of the Registry of Motor Vehicles, as well as the Federal Government at the US Post Office.  Throughout her teaching career she brought her knowledge and compassion to classrooms in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and California,

Honoring her deep love for music, she was also an organizer for a men’s choir in New Hampshire, and played piano regularly at St. Simon and Jude in Huntington Beach.

She enjoyed playing the piano at home every day, reading, tending to her garden, playing Scrabble and doing crossword puzzles.

She was married to Albert Marchetti, an accomplished electrical engineer. Hughes Aircraft moved them from New England to California in 1962. She has a loving daughter who works in health care, and her granddaughter Nicole who keeps her active and cooks her delicious meals.

Her Catholic faith has been the foundation of her life. She enjoys the company of many friends and making lasting memories with her family. She is considered a strong willed and bright light of this life and will be missed by all.
