Angie was born September 9, 1929, in Lompoc, CA, to the late Ben V. Chaves and Emelia de Souza Chaves. She was one of seven children. She graduated from Lompoc Union High School in Lompoc, CA.  After graduation, Angie worked as a bookkeeper during the day while attending night classes at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, CA and later at California State University in Sacramento, CA  where she earned her degree in accounting.  She then went on to earn her CPA certification.  Throughout the years Angie never lost her knack for numbers, detail, and organization.

Throughout her life, Angie loved Jesus and was never too shy to share her faith or her convictions.  Second to Jesus, Angie loved Wayne and together they enjoyed time spent traveling in their RV and around the world where they made many lifelong friends along the way.

Angie was a true California girl who spent the majority of her life near the beach where she learned to dig clams and deep-sea dive.

The family wishes to express our gratitude and appreciation to Dr. alexander Satin, the wonderful nurses of Medical City Frisco, Matt at Edge Physical Therapy, and Michelle and Deneen from Amatus Hospice who together took such good care of her in her final months.
