Annette Rita Ondatje

Annette R. Ondatje of Santa Ana, California, passed away on December 11, 2020 in Newport Beach, California, at age 89. She is now with God and the love of her life, Trevor, her husband of 51 years.

Annette was born and raised in Sri Lanka (Ceylon). She and her two children moved with her husband, an international banker, to Kuwait. They lived in Kuwait for eleven years and had three more children. The family then moved to the United States and was blessed with a sixth child.

She was employed as a supervisor by the county of Los Angeles Assessor’s Office where she retired after 30 years.

She believed “life is what you make it, make it a life of joy.” Most of her life was dedicated to her husband and children. She enjoyed spending time with them, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many other family members.

Annette is survived by her six children, eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a sister, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and four siblings.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Shriner’s Hospital for Children in her name. The family wishes to extend their appreciation and gratitude for all the kind words and prayers.
