Antonia Lopez Gonzales

August 9, 1928 ~ December 24, 2019 (age 91) 91 Years Old

Tribute

Antonia Seja Gonzales was born on the ninth of August 1928 in a small house in Fountain Valley California.  She was one of the last surviving Founders of a community called the Colonia Juarez.

She lived there in a house with her Mother Joespha and sister Christina however she was the youngest of 23 children.  They were chili farmers and the farmland was located where we now know as Miles Square Park.

She was married to Fred Paredez Gonzales on February 26th 1947 and had three children.  Fred Lopez Gonzales, Linda Russell, and Richard Gonzales.

She was a Wonderful Christian Woman who dedicated her life to the LORD and her Church, Holy Spirit.  She was know as the Tamale lady because she was in charge of making dozens of Tamales to raise money to support her congregation.

She was also very dedicated to the choir; she was a singer, played the guitar, self-taught.  She also took it upon herself to make up all of the music books for each of them to read from.  Her talent, we could tell was gift from GOD due to how beautiful she sang.

Antonia also did so much in her life; she was able to travel to many holy places.  She was baptized in the Jordan River and even met the Pope.

She is survived by so many, Nieces, Nephews, 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and even 10 great, great grandchildren but one of the most important in her life, the one she always considered more of a sister was her best friend is Barbara.  She was her traveling/camping buddy who was the one who was there, every time she needed her, without fail.  Out of all her stories, Barbara was the one who was the most involved in her life.

Antonia was an amazing woman who left this world having done everything she could have ever dreamed of and often told me she was ready to go.

All of her Children and Husband were there to meet her at heavens gates when she entered and she will have an eternity without pain and full of nothing but happiness.

This is not a sad day but a very happy one, a Celebration of an amazing soul who will one day be welcoming us when it is our time to move on as well.

God Blessed Antonia, all of us are better for having had her in our lives.
