Chris Sanchez was an energetic fun loving wife and mother who enjoyed instigating family and friend gatherings, hosting and cooking for everyone. Crystal Daun Hudson was born to John William and Carolyn Jean Hudson in 1949 and had two younger brothers Gregory and Ronald Hudson. Chris left this world on May 6, 2022, at the age of 72 after a prolonged incapacitation from a cerebral aneurism in 1976. She met her husband, Wilfred Sanchez, at Barstow Community College where the two of them graduated together in 1970. They were married for 52 years and had one daughter, Heather Sanchez. In 1973, the three moved to Costa Mesa, CA, where she enrolled in a variety of home improvement classes, including a furniture re-finishing class, so she could furnish the new home she found with antique furniture. She enjoyed cooking heirloom family recipes, baking and making most of her own clothes. She loved the beach and took her young daughter with neighbor mothers to the bay regularly for outings. In 1974, Chris suffered her first cerebral aneurism, almost completely recovered and was able to do all the things she loved. In 1976, Chris was studying for her real estate license when she was struck with a cerebral aneurism. But she was strong, determined and courageous. She went to physical therapy, did her exercises daily and did as many things for herself as she could to be as independent as possible.

Chris had an indomitable spirit and tremendous love for life. She enjoyed getting up every day and living that day as if it may be her last. She enjoyed everyone with whom she had contact and was a joy to have as a friend, mother and wife. All who knew her, loved her. She always made people feel good about themselves as they were amazed with her wonderful outlook on life.

Chris is predeceased by her parents Carolyn Jean and John William Hudson. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Wilfred Sanchez, her daughter Heather and her husband Jeff Weidner, her two grandsons Jackson and Ronan Weidner, and her two brothers Greg and Ron Hudson and their families, along with many other family members and close friends who were like family to her.
