Eleanor Lorraine Bartman was born on February 16, 1934 to Julius and Anna Bartman in Galatin, Pennsylvania. She was raised in Vestaburg, Pennsylvania where she grew up as the only girl with three brothers; Jim, Julius and Jerry. She attended West Bethlehem Schools and graduated in May 1952.
She married Michael Kacvinsky, Jr. on July 3, 1954 in Marianna, Pennsylvania and raised four children; Kathy, Michael, Mark and Mary Sue. They attended Sts. Mary & Ann Catholic Church. She worked as a bank teller at First National Bank in Marianna for 25 years. After the death of her husband in 1989, she retired from the bank in 1994 and moved to Fountain Valley, California, and lived with her daughter, Kathy, and son-in-law, Bill for 14 years. In March 2008 she moved to her own apartment in Huntington Beach, California we here she continued to enjoy her retirement. She was active in her parish, and was a proud member of SSJ Pastoral Ministry, as well as Bible Study, WAFA and Blue Army.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Kathy and William Morris, Michael and Yvonne Kacvinsky, Mark and Brenda Kacvinsky, and Mary Sue and Matt Engle. She was blessed with ten grandchildren: Mikey, Carrie, Mark, Ashley, Billy, Kevin, Daniel, Kelly, Katie and Matthew. She also has nine great-children Heidi, Genesis, Hunter, Gavin, Landon, Dylan, Hudson, Sawyer and Emery.
In her own words, “My life has been good. I am close to God and confident in His goodness. I will continue to pray for all of you as I did here on earth. Pray for me.”
