Eleanor Dolores Morrell

Eleanor Morrell was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, following a long illness. Born in New York in 1933, she met and married the love of her life, Ernie, in 1951. They were married for fifty-seven years until Ernie’s death in 2008.  Ernie was drafted, and while he was serving in Korea, Ele moved to California with her parents and sister. When Ernie returned, the couple made their home in Orange County, California, and raised three children: Debbie, Cindy, and Scott. Ele was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she always loved cooking for her family while the grandchildren swam and played in the beautiful yard she cherished. She now joins her parents John and Irene Healy, her husband Ernie, her daughter Cindy, and her granddaughter Carey, in Heaven. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Terry and George Maynard, her daughter Debbie, son Scott and his wife Karen, grandchildren Brandi, Matt and wife Heather, Brad, Annie and husband Jacob, Jenny and husband Corey, and Kelly, as well as great-grandchildren McKenna, Braylen, Jack, and Sadie. A lifelong Catholic, Ele was a very prayerful woman, and although she will be missed, her family is comforted knowing she is in the hands of Our Lord.
