Jacquelyn Louise Knott

Jacquelyn Louise Knott, Jackie to everyone that knew her, passed peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, with her sons Tony, Ryan, Troy and Lance, and her sister, Claudie by her side. She was 77 years old.

Jackie lived her life full of love and devotion to her family and close friends. She raised 4 boys on her own and in her likeness. Endless compassion, fierce independence, unending support for her children, and placing the needs of others ahead of her own were traits that came naturally to her.

Jackie worked as a flight attendant for much of her life with Trans World Airlines. During her 30 years with TWA, she traveled the world and made unbreakable friendships. Her dearest friends have remained so for more than 50 years. As they traveled and worked together, their lives became more than friendships and that of family. Jackie was always available during hard times and great ones for the many “sisters” she had during her life.

Growing up in Los Angeles, with her sister Claudie, their parents Carolyn and Tony instilled hard work, family togetherness, and a zest for life as a way to lead a great life. They carried this into their own adult lives and passed it along to their own children. Family was everything to Jackie. During difficult times, she did whatever was necessary to provide and support her boys and ensure they had a wonderful childhood. During great times, she paved the family’s way with a pleasure for small things and large and a wonder of what could be possible.

The desert –– her home in Palm Springs –– brought her endless years of joy; it was always a special place for Jackie. Forever a sun-baby, she loved long days by the pool and gorgeous evenings on the patio. In later years, Jackie struggled with cardiopulmonary issues but met the challenge as she did everything in her life –– with an incredible tenacity to never give up.

Despite the health issues that she endured, she never stopped enjoying life or desiring her family by her side. Jackie is remembered and loved by many.
