Jeanette (Jean) Frances Ramirez

Jeanette Ramirez was born to Joseph and Martha Noesen on October 18, 1927 in Long Beach. Jean entered into heaven September 7, 2019. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Natalie Shields. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother, and the matriarch of the Ramirez family. Jean is survived by her husband of nearly 73 years, Ernie. This beloved matriarch is survived by her children, Michael Ramirez and his wife Rose, Anne Dwyer and her husband Dennis, Steve Ramirez and his wife Betsy, Susie Mozeleski and her husband Terry, Jerry Ramirez and his wife Cathy, Julie Murphy and her husband John, Danny Ramirez, and Tom Ramirez. She is also survived by two adopted sons, 27 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren.

Jean at a young age was musically gifted, playing piano and violin for the Junior Los Angeles Philharmonic. This allowed her to attend the Meglin Kiddies Dance Academy which led to roles in several live performances and movies including Gone With the Wind.

Jean met the love of her life, Ernie Ramirez, in high school. During World War II they became engaged and when Ernie returned from the Philippines and Japan they were married. She devoted her entire life to her family and provided this world with over 70 descendants.

Jean Ramirez moved to Huntington Harbor in 1988 and continued with her philanthropic duties joining St. Anne’s Women’s Club, the Mission Circle at St. Bonaventure, and the Huntington Harbor Philharmonic Society. She was a devout Catholic who attended daily mass. She was God’s disciple and lived her life according to His will. “Grandma Jean” was the catalyst of this wonderful family and never forgot a birthday, graduation, First Communion, Confirmation, and wedding anniversary.

Rosary services for Jean Ramirez will be held on Monday, September 16 at 7pm at Dilday Chapel in Huntington Beach. Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 17 at 11am at St. Anne’s Church in Seal Beach.
