MaryJo Walker

MaryJo Walker, 78, passed on March 11, 2019 with her family by her side in Fountain Valley, California. 

She was born August 31, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to Clyde and Gertrude Renwick.  Her father was a land surveyor and engineer.  Her mother was a homemaker and Sunday school teacher who raised four daughters in Los Angeles. 

MaryJo spent many summers on the sand in Seal Beach with her sisters as a child.  She met the love of her life, Robert Walker, at Dorsey High School where they graduated in 1958.  During that time, they were members of their youth church group called Methodist Youth Fellowship.  Before they got married, MaryJo was a dental assistant and Bob was in the Navy.  She eventually had three beautiful children; Jennifer, Milissa, & Garrett.  As a family they spent many vacations in Yosemite National Park.  Her many interests included gardening, art, and theatre. 

MaryJo is survived by her sisters, Jean Acuff & Jessica Hansen; her three children, and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Shepherd's Grove in Irvine with a reception to follow.
