Myra Kaye Sawyer

Myra Kaye Sawyer “Katy” passed away at Hoag Hospital of a Newport Beach, California on Sunday, December 23, 2018. She was born 1 of 6 children to Monroe and Nona Savage on September 5, 1943 in Ft. Worth, Texas. 

Myra is survived by her husband, 4 kids, 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and 2 sisters. 

Husband of 57 years: 

Nealon M Sawyer Sr “Buzz”. 

Son: 

Nealon M Sawyer Jr “Marty”, wife Christine Sawyer, daughter Casey and son Alan. 

Daughter: 

Rhonda Doan her husband Donald Doan, daughter Brittney, son Bradley and son Ryan. 

Daughter: 

Wendy Sawyer, son Zachary and daughter Sara. 

Daughter: 

Kristie Dato, husband James Dato, son Garrett and daughter Avery. 

Great-grandson: 

Anders Rankin, son of Brittney and grandson to Rhonda Doan. 

Sisters: 

Laura Ellis and Barbara Jo Savage. 

Myra was a very proud grandmother, wife, mom, Dallas Cowboys fan and friend to everyone she met.  Most knew her by Mimi (Grandma) or Katy. 

She will missed by many. 

Myra’s funeral service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2018 at 11:00am at Dilday Chapel, 17911 Beach Boulevard, California 92647. 

Myra will be laid to rest at Good Shepherd Cemetery at 8301 Talbert Ave. Huntington Beach, California 92647 (Across the street from Dilday Chapel)
