Phyllis Jean Hunt Gaines

Jean was born in Los Angeles, December 12, 1932, the only daughter of Bob and Phyllis Hunt. She loved dancing and singing and appeared in several Little Rascals movies.  She attended UCLA.  Jean proudly became National President of her beloved sorority Tri Delta in 1984. She also worked for hospice for 15 years, finally retiring in 2005.

She married Kenneth Gaines, Jr. on June 26, 1954. They settled in Orange County in 1959.  She generously supported her community through volunteer work at school, as a Girl Scout Leader, and through the Episcopal Church. 

She passed away on March 21, 2020, leaving behind 3 brothers, 2 daughters, and her much beloved grandchildren. Those she has left behind will cherish her memory and example.  Truly a lady who will be  missed by all who knew her!
