Robert F. Mattice of Huntington Beach, CA passed away at his home on July 12, 2021.
He was born in Boston, MA in 1952. He graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield, CT , went on to Hiram College in OH to earn his BS in Chemistry and then his MA in Business from CSU Long Beach. Rob was an amazing football player in high school and in college. He never stopped learning, continually taking courses in Accounting, Electrical, Carpentry and various other subjects that interested him.
He moved to California over 40 years ago. He was known by his family as “Robbie” or “Yubby” and by his friends and family in CA as Bob. He recently retired from CSU Long Beach and was keeping busy with projects around the house. He was a tutor, a mentor and a well-respected and loved man.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Remidios (aka Remy) Pena Mattice, his 3 wonderful sons, Steven (Beccah) of Abu Dhabi , Matthew (April) of CA and Kenneth of New York and a grandson Michael Williamson-Mattice. He is also survived by his mother Joan Mattice, his sisters Joanne Gallo (Carl) and Lynn Mattice, all living in Florida. He had numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins and many people who he was not blood related to but were considered part of his family.
Rob/Robbie/Bob/Yubby was predeceased by his father Ralph P Mattice and his brother Ralph J Mattice.
