It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Rocco (Rocky) Anthony Barilla at Hoag Hospital on Sunday, March 7th, 2021 after experiencing acute respiratory and kidney failure. Rocky had just celebrated his 73rd birthday days before.

Beloved husband and best friend of Sandie (Rutter) Barilla.Loving father of Chris Barilla and his wife, Michele and Tom Barilla and his wife, Nicole. Proud grandfather to Nico Anthony Barilla and Catherine Rose Barilla.Dear in-law to Mike and Karen Rutter.

He was the son of the late Domenico Anthony and Anna Marie Barilla, predeceased by sister LeeAnn Tiner (Barilla) and his brothers-in-law Larry Rutter and Richard Tiner.

Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many good friends.

Rocky was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved with his family to California at the age of 8 years old. After returning from Vietnam in 1969, he married his high school sweetheart sharing 51 exciting years together. His family was always his True North and first priority.

He was a funny and kind man, holding the highest integrity in business and his family life. He loved traveling, golfing, baseball and joking around with family and friends. Above all, he was passionate and proud of his kids and grandkids.

Family and friends may pay their respects Saturday, April 10th at Heritage-Dilday Memorial Services, Huntington Beach from 11am-12pm. Following the memorial, the family will host a Celebration of Life reception at the same location.
