Rosemary Hatton Clasen passed away on July 5, 2018 in Huntington Beach, CA. She was born on April 30, 1921 in Boswell, Indiana to Larry and Hazel Hatton. As an only child, devoted Christian Wife, Mother of 5, Grandmother of 17, Great Grandmother of 20, Great-Great Grandmother of 1 and cherished Friend - she definitely lived and loved life to the fullest!
Rosemary graduated from High School as Class Secretary and Valedictorian. She met her future husband of 71-years, Jack and they bought a house together before getting married. She then married him at the Wilshire Wedding chapel in Los Angeles. They went on a beautiful honeymoon in Balboa and stayed in a cottage on the beach.
She loved her family and served her Lord Jesus Christ, in many capacities including serving as a CBS Bible Study student, Bible Study Leader, Wedding Coordinator for many Los Angeles churches, Minister Luncheon Coordinator, and President of several Women’s Ministries. She was also a Cub Scout Leader and Brownie Leader.
Rosemary’s talents were truly endless. She even liked to paint like Thomas Kincaid and often gave her paintings away. She loved to travel with her husband, family and friends across the United States, Canada, Alaska, Europe and the Holy Land. She loved to fly in a plane on her birthday every year.
Of all her many endeavors it was entertaining guests and family in her home that filled her heart. She opened her doors for every birthday, anniversary, baby shower, bible study, and potluck. She even welcomed ministers from afar, missionaries and foreign exchange students. Her passion for hosting and entertaining led to many family traditions, like our annual Father’s Day Picnic that started 50-years ago, which includes anyone that needs a family.
Our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother and Friend will be greatly missed until we meet again!
John 14:1-7 was her hope for all mankind.
