William Robert Hartman Jr

William (Bill) Robert Hartman, 85, passed away peacefully at his home in Huntington Beach, California, on the morning of Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Originally from Piqua, Ohio, Bill spent his adult life in coastal Southern California where, after retiring from McDonnell Douglas in 1997, he filled his days reading by the beach, playing golf, and going for long bike rides on local river trails.A doting grandfather, Papa Bill never missed an opportunity to cheer on his grandkids, attending countless soccer games, track meets, and school events. Characterized by his good humor, humility, kind heart, and can-do attitude, Bill was an admired and respected manager at work and patriarch at home. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Stoops Hartman, the love of his life; his three children: Lori Coe, James (Jim) Hartman, and Amy Short; and his nine grandchildren, truly his pride and joy.
