“My friend Mr. Hugh Sosbee”.

I do not think I have ever met a nicer guy in my life then Hugh Sosbee.

I meet Hugh approximately twelve years ago. I worked for the City of Glendale Power Plant when Hugh came knocking on our door looking for pump repair business. From the first day I meet Hugh we hit it off like long lost friends. It was amazing how much we had in common. Hugh grew up in Pasadena California. I worked for the City of Glendale next door. He lived in Huntington Beach. I grew up, just up the street in Anaheim. His children played high school sports. So did I with a rivalry team. His daughter was a long distance runner. So was my daughter, and the story keeps going. We even had numerous competitions to see who could lose the most weight. He always seemed to win. Hugh was a good friend and I will always remember him.

Many of us here at Calpine have interacted and known Hugh throughout the years and will miss him dearly. He was always pleasant to talk with. We send our gratitude and blessings for Hugh and his family. May he find the peace and happiness as he shared with us all.

Hugh was very good man!

I worked with Hugh for many years at BWIP-Flowserve in the '90's and then as industry colleagues when we worked at different companies. We lost contact with each other for several years, but reconnected this past year on a project at work. It was so good to make that reconnection... and we picked up right where we had left off.

Hugh and I would periodically bet each other a $1 bet on some sporting event... a football game, World Series game, or whatever was going on... and after all these years, I think we were even, although Hugh always said that I owed him a Dollar!! I'll miss those bets and I'll miss Hugh!!
